Prior to the 2006 BUB Motorcycle Speed Trials, the absolute motorcycle land speed record had not been broken since Dave Campos achieved his 322.149 mph world record run in 1990. (Hey, Bandit was on that team. and now he is running his own show in Bonneville this year!)

Denis Manning, a 2006 inductee in the Motorcycle Hall of Fame, is the designer, builder, and owner of the BUB #7 streamliner – and no stranger to record-breaking speed.

The Bonneville Salt Flats of Utah hold a unique place in the hearts and minds of all motorsports enthusiasts and have long been the home of legendary achievements. In conditions regarded by some observers as the best seen for motorcycle racing in over 40 years.
