“If you cut us, we bleed salt,” said Dave Rash, The Pope of Pipe. Rash talks about the D&D / Custom Chrome motorbike, #1160, a modified V-Bike from Custom Chrome with a RevTech motor slightly modified by the D&D team to produce 116 CID or 1905 cc.

The LSR pipe was specifically designed and dyno tested for the run at Bonneville. The 2 into 1 exhaust system made over 15HP with the engine making in excess of 185HP.

The Pope and the entire Team at D&D Performance Enterprises came back from the Salt Flats without the world record. The weather reduced the number of runs the boys had and they were not able to put one in the book.
